Mallards Introduce New Voice

Moline, IL-Quad City Mallards President and General Manager Howard Cornfield announced today the addition of Aaron Roof as the team's Broadcaster and Director of Media Relations. In this role, Roof will be responsible for the production of all team publications including the yearbook, scorecard and game notes. Roof will also serve as the "Voice of the Mallards" during the upcoming season.

The 2004-05 season marks Roof's fourth campaign in minor league hockey. Last season, he was a member of the Cincinnati Cyclones organization as the Public Relations Coordinator and Broadcaster. Prior to joining the Cyclones, Roof worked for the Lexington Men O' War (ECHL) and the Kentucky Thoroughblades (AHL).

"This is a fantastic opportunity to further my hockey career," Roof said. "I am happy to be joining one of the premier franchises in minor league sports. It's exciting to join a team that has enjoyed such terrific fan support for a number of seasons."
