Last Night

Peter Schneider scored what proved to be the game winning goal in the third period and Mac Carruth made 30 saves as the host Fuel defeated the Mallards- who got goals from Darren McMillan and Olivier Archambault- 3-2 Saturday night.

Stop Sign

The Mallards fell last night after winning their prior two games.

Rough Road

The Mallards have gone winless (0-5-2) in seven road games since winning their opener in Allen October 16.

Home Sweet Home

The Mallards have won four straight home games and are unbeaten in regulation (6-0-1) in their last seven home games.

Finishing Kick

The Mallards have outscored the opposition 9-3 in the third period of their last five games and 14-4 in the third period of their last ten outings.

First Blood

The Mallards have allowed the first goal in each of their last four games. They are 2-6-2 when giving up the first goal and 5-0-1 when scoring first.

Three in Three

The Mallards today play a third game in three days for the second time this season. They capped off their first stretch of three games in three days by defeating Wichita 5-2 on October 25.

O from D

Defensemen have scored four of the Mallards' six goals over their last two games. Alex Gudbranson, Mike Monfredo and Jake Baker scored in Friday night's 4-2 win over Alaska before McMillan scored last night.

Arch Madness

With a goal last night Archambault now has 11 points (four goals and seven assists) in his last eight games and is now tied for seventh in the ECHL in assists (12) and tied for eighth in points (17).

Blue Line

Monfredo picked up an assist last night and has now piled up nine points (two goals and seven assists) in his last seven games. He leads ECHL defensemen in assists (12) and is tied for seventh overall in assists. Monfredo is also third among defensemen in points (14).

Between the Pipes

Brody Hoffman last night made 19 saves while suffering a loss that halted his three game winning streak.

Special Teams

The Mallards rank sixth in the ECHL on the power play (23.3 percent) after going 0-for-2 last night. The Mallards survived Indy's only power play last night and are now tied for eighteenth in the ECHL in penalty killing (82.8 percent).

Head to Head

The Mallards have lost their first two games against the Fuel this season. The Fuel today makes its first ever visit to the iWireless Center. The two clubs will clash a total of ten times this season.

Milestones

McMillan has recorded 99 points as a Mallard...Vladimir Nikiforov has 98 career ECHL points... Mike Monfredo has 94 career points...Anthony Collins has 92 penalty minutes as a Mallard...Ryan Tesink has played 48 career games.
