Mallards Announce Training Camp Schedule

Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards unveiled the schedule for the teamÂ’s 2004-05 training camp today. Players will arrive in the Quad Cities on Friday in preparation for the teamÂ’s first practice on Sunday morning at the Quad City Sports Center.

Friday and Saturday are reserved for arrivals and player physicals. Practice kicks off on Sunday. The team will practice from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. Sunday –Tuesday at the Quad City Sports Center. On Wednesday, October 6th practice moves to The MARK. Wednesday-Friday of next week, the team will practice at The MARK from 9 a.m.-11a.m. each day.

The Mallards begin their exhibition schedule on Saturday, October 9th at The MARK when they take on the Rockford Ice Hogs. The game will be a benefit for the Mallards practice home as all proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Quad City Sports Center. The exhibition slate continues on Monday, October 11th when the Mallards host Missouri at The MARK. The pre-season ends with a final exhibition showdown with Rockford on Tuesday, October 12th. Tickets for the exhibition games are available through Ticketmaster at (563) 326-1111 and The MARK box office. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years old.

The Mallards have 16 players under contract for 2004-05. Included in the new line-up are forwards Mike Burgoyne, Jason Deskins, Jeff Doyle, Joe Dusbabek, Jonathan Gagnon, Ojay Hehr, Lenny Hofmann, Jason Lehoux, Drew Otten and Marty Standish. Defensemen Justin Brown, Serge Crochetiere, Terry Hollinger, Sam Phillips and Alexander Skorohod along with goaltender Jeff Reynaert will be called upon to protect the Mallards net.

The Mallards begin the home portion of their tenth anniversary season on October 30th vs. Kansas City at The MARK of the Quad Cities. Season tickets are available via the Mallards ticket office at (309) 764-7825. For the latest Mallards news and ticket information, visit www.qcmallards.com.
