Mallards Announce Exhibition Schedule

Moline, IL- The Mallards unveiled their 2005 exhibition schedule today. Featured is a game at the Quad City Sports Center on Friday, October 14th vs. the Missouri River Otters. Ticket sales from the game will be donated to the Quad City Hockey Association. In addition to the home game vs. Missouri, the Mallards will be traveling to Rockford for a showdown with the IceHogs on Saturday, October 15th.
The game vs. Missouri on Friday, October 14th will be played in the intimate setting of the Quad City Sports Center. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door on game day and cost $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Seating for the game will be general admission. The Mallards will donate all ticket sales to the Quad City Hockey Association.
The opening game of the exhibition season also features a coaching showdown between two former teammates. Mallards Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran and Missouri Head Coach Kevin Kaminski played two seasons together with the American Hockey League's Portland Pirates.
The Mallards 2005-06 roster also features two former Otters, goaltender Jason Tapp and forward Glenn Detulleo. The exhibition opener will be the first opportunity for two of the newest Mallards to display their skills vs. their old team.
On Saturday, October 15th, the Mallards hit the road for the first time in 2005-06 to take on the IceHogs in Rockford. Game time is 7:05 p.m. at The Metrocentre. Tickets go on sale on October 3rd and can by purchased via phone at (815) 968-5222.
Mallards season tickets are on sale now. Fans that purchase tickets by September 30th will have their season ticket price locked in for as long as they continue to renew their season seat. For each season ticket sold before the September 30th deadline, the Mallards will contribute $100 to Gilda's Club of the Quad Cities. The Mallards open the 2005-06 season on Friday, October 21st in Flint vs. the Generals. The 11th home opener in franchise history is slated for Saturday, October 22nd vs. the Motor City Mechanics. Keep checking qcmallards.com for updated news on all team events.
