
Majors Take Part in Lakeshore Mardi Gras

Mississauga St. Michael's Majors News Release
TORONTO, Ont. (August 11, 2006) - The St. Michael's Majors are pleased to announce that they will be participating in the Lakeshore Mardi Gras once again. The event is presented by Councillor Mark Grimes of Toronto's Ward 6 and takes place all this weekend at Colonel Samuel Smith Park, located at Kipling Avenue and Lakeshore Drive. The Majors will be taking part all-day tomorrow (Saturday).
The Majors area will be comprised of their interactive half-rink, where kids can shoot for the targets and pick up this season's schedule, Majors tattoos, and more. The event also features a full line-up of bands as Teenage Head will be performing at 8 pm this evening and other artists will be on the main stage from noon to 9 pm tomorrow and noon to 8 pm Sunday.
