
Majors double up attack in exhibition opener

Owen Sound, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors opened up exhibition play as they headed over to Owen Sound for a game against the Attack. The Majors took charge of things tonight, doubling up the home team, 4-2.
Each team produced a goal in the 1st period to start things off. It was Riley Brace who connected for Mississauga at 6:36 with help from Rob Flick and Brett Flemming. Owen Sound tied things up at 12:00.
Then, Devanté Smith-Pelly and Joseph Cramarossa powered the Majors ahead, 3-1, early in the 2nd period while the Attack answered back with a goal at 18:04. Stuart Percy, Dustin Ekelman, Dylan DeMelo and Matt Russo were the helpers.
In the 3rd period, Casey Cizikas collected a goal at 4:56 for Mississauga to wrap things up. Ekelman and Smith-Pelly got the assists.
Alexander Laino was in net for Mississauga, and made 21 saves.
