
Major moves mark busy Monday afternoon

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, December 17, 2007 - After a busy morning, several teams continued wheeling and dealing and a few major trades were pulled off.
The Remparts sent forward Maxime Sauvé (90-01-30) to the Mooseheads for centre David Gilbert (91-02-09) and a second round pick in 2008. Then, after acquiring Maxime Sauvé, the Mooseheads included him in a package that sent a second round pick in 2008 (acquired from Rimouski), second and third round picks in 2009, a first round pick in 2011 and a first round pick in 2012 to the Foreurs for all-star winger Brad Marchand (88-05-11).
The Foreurs continued their shopping spree by acquiring forwards Jesse Céré (90-03-07) and Joel Senecal (90-02-16) from the Voltigeurs for a twelfth round pick in 2008 and a seventh round selection in 2009. Thereafter, they sent a third round pick in 2008 (acquired from Moncton) and a fifth round pick in 2009 to the Saguenéens for forward Marc-André Julien (89-01-13) and a sixth rounder in 2009. Finally, Val-d'Or traded winger Evan Brannon (91-02-12) to Cape Breton for goaltender Paul Dorsey (90-06-21).
In other moves, the Olympiques traded a second round pick in 2008 to the Remparts for defenseman Joey Ryan (87-10-19) while the Wildcats sent Marc-André Labelle (89-05-01) to the Saguenéens for a third round pick in 2008 (acquired from Val-d'Or via Moncton).
