Flurry of action marks first few hours of trade period

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, December 17, 2007 - Several teams were active on the trade front this morning as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League officially opened its second official trade window of the 2007-08 season.

The Titan sent Samson Mahbod (89-02-03), Marc-Antoine Desnoyers (89-01-15) as well as their first (acquired from Baie-Comeau) and fifth round (acquired from Drummondville) picks in 2008 to the Voltigeurs for Drew Paris (88-05-12), Maxime Fréchette (88-05-09), Bradley Dyke (88-10-16) and a fourth round pick in 2008.

The Fog Devils traded Ryan Graham (87-06-17), Kyle Stanley (88-03-25) and their second round pick in 2008 to the Titan for Mathieu Labrie (87-06-26), Samuel Grenache (89-12-05) and a 2008 first round selection. The Titan then sent goaltender Tommy Legault (88-11-03) to the Tigres for their sixth round selection in 2009.

The Wildcats traded a tenth round pick (2009) to the Voltigeurs for goaltender Wendell Vye (90-05-07). Drummondville then sent a ninth round pick in 2008 (acquired from Saint John) to the Sea Dogs for goaltender Nathan Dunnett (90-06-12). Finally, The Voltigeurs got blueline help by trading for defenseman Gabriel Carle (89-12-20), whom they acquired from the Tigres for an eighth round selection in 2008.

In other moves, the Olympiques sent defenseman Sébastien Bernier (87-02-06) to the Océanic for a sixth round pick in 2008 while the MAINEiacs acquired defenseman Guillaume Durand (88-02-02) from the Cataractes for forward David Taylor (89-08-02).
