Majic to Visit Boys and Girls Club, Have Congressional Candidate as Guest Coach May 15

The Gwinnett Majic, the defending champions of the World Basketball Association Exposure League (WBA), will be visiting the Boys and Girls Club of Gwinnett County Monday afternoon before having Georgia 4th U.S. Congressional District candidate Liz Carter serve as the team's guest coach for its May 15 home game. At the Boys and Girls Club, the team, coaches and owners will be i

ntroduced and the players will talk to the kids about the importance of staying in school and good behavior as well as the team's summer reading program. They will also hold a clinic for the kids and sign autographs as well.

Carter, who has received several endorsements on both the local and national levels, will be the Majic's guest coach for their May 15 home game against the Decatur Court Kings at Meadowcreek High in Norcross. That game is set for a 6 p.m. tipoff and will be Gwinnett County Police Force Appreciation Night. All Gwinnett County Police members will get into the game for free and be honored during the game. Gwinnett opens defense of its WBA title May 14, hosting the Franklin (Tenn.) Knights at Berkmar High in Lilburn. Tipoff for the game is set for 7 p.m. and it will be Gwinnett County Teacher Appreciation Night. All Gwinnett County Schools teachers will get in free and be honored during the game.
