Maine's Tim Frazier Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK - Tim Frazier of the Maine Red Claws was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Feb. 29 through Sunday, March 6. This is the fourth time Frazier has staked claim to the honors (three-time winner last season).

Frazier (6-1, 170, Penn State) helped Maine to a 3-0 week averaging 14.0 points on 48.4 percent shooting to go with 10.7 rebounds, 9.3 assists (second in the league) and 2.0 steals.

On March 3, he compiled season highs with 13 assists and four steals in a 115-101 victory over the Iowa Energy. On March 6, he recorded 18 points on 8-for-9 shooting to go with 11 rebounds and nine rebounds in a 126-88 win over the Westchester Knicks, keeping Maine atop the Atlantic Division with a two-game lead over Westchester.

Last year's NBA D-League MVP returned to Maine after starting the season with the Portland Trail Blazers. Through five games, Frazier is averaging 16.4 points on 53.7 percent shooting to go with 10.2 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.6 steals.

Other top performers considered were Austin's Nick Johnson, Bakersfield's Terrico White, Delaware's Russ Smith, Los Angeles' Josh Magette, Maine's Coty Clarke, Oklahoma City's Dwight Buycks, Reno's Erick Green, Sioux Falls' Briante Weber and Texas' Tu Holloway.
