Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release
Lewiston, ME (QMJHL) - The Lewiston MAINEiacs have announced a roster move effective immediately, calling up goaltender Antoine Bibeau from the Trois-Rivieres Estacades of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League. Bibeau will be in uniform (jersey number 41) on Friday night, when the MAINEiacs visit the Gatineau Olympiques, taking the place of Andrey Makarov, who is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
Bibeau, 16, was selected in the fifth round (73rd overall) by the MAINEiacs at the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft in Drummondville. This season, the native of Victoriaville, QC has had a successful start with Trois-Rivieres, going 5-2 in nine appearances. During that time, Bibeau was honored as the Goaltender of the Month for the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League, while also being named as the first star of the game five times.
Lewiston and Gatineau will play a pair of games this weekend on Friday at 7:30, and again on Saturday at 4:00. The MAINEiacs' next home game takes place on November 3rd at 7:00 against the Quebec Remparts.
