Magicians prepare for final veterans camp

Birmingham, AL. ABA Birmingham Magicians' Head Coach, Jim Farmer and staff are preparing to host its final veteran's camp next week according to team officials. Coach Farmer has been evaluating talent over the last several weeks and expects to announce the final roster for the new team by November 9th. "We expect 15-20 guys at the camp beginning Mondayh, November 7th and we will start making cuts after the first day," Farmer said. "We have looked at several guys we feel comfortable with but we are still missing a few pieces right now and hopefully after this three day camp we will be able to complete our roster."
The upstart Magicians will host the veteran's camp at the Northeast and Western YMCAs in Birmingham beginning Monday at 1pm. The morning practices are scheduled for the Western YMCA on Bessemer Road and the afternoon practices are scheduled for the Northeast YMCA in Roebuck said Farmer.
The Magicians tip-off the regular season on November 17th against the Mississippi Stingers in Greenville, Mississippi for the first of three road games before returning to Birmingham for their first home game on November 30th vs. the Atlanta Vision at Fair Park Arena.
