Newark, NJ. At a recent press conference, the ABA Newark Express announced the signing of Seton Hall University alumni Shaheen Holloway. The signing of their second marquee player took place prior to the final scheduled Open Tryout for the 2005-2006 season that starts this week.

Holloway, a resident of Hillside NJ, attended St. Patrick's High School in Elizabeth, NJ where he was the 1996 MVP of the McDonald's All American Game. A Seton Hall University graduate, Shaheen starred for the Pirates from 1996-2000 where he became the third all time leader in steals and 3 pts made and was noted as the All Time Assist Leader in Seton Hall University history.

Holloway has played professionally in Turkey, the UK, Israel, the Domincan Republic and Germany. The 29 yr old, 6' guard was recently in camp with the New Jersey Nets before finally agreeing to terms with the Express. He is best known for his ball handling skills, court vision and his ability to score. The Newark Express is excited to have this veteran point guard leading the team in its inaugural season.
