ABILENE, Texas---- Larry Dockery threw for 265 yards and six scores to lead the Ruff Riders to a 45-36 win on Saturday over the Rio Grande Valley Magic. Tyjuan Manning caught a pair of touchdown passes to lead Abilene.With the loss, the Magic have a record 2-2. They play at home May 5th against the Amarillo Venom.The Magic fell behind early in the first quarter courtesy of a touchdown pass from Dockery to Manning from 10 yards out and added the extra point for a 7-0.

The Magic got on the board with a field goal from Leo Araguz from 23 yards which made the score 7-3 in favor of Abilene.

After trading turnovers early in the second quarter, the Magic took a lead of 9-7 with a touchdown pass from Billy Garza to Malcolm Williams from 47 yards out and the point after was missed.

Both teams would trade touchdowns and Abilene would capitalize on a Magic turnover which allowed the Ruff Riders to take the lead at the half by a score of 32-22.

During the second half the Magic could not catch up to the Ruff Riders despite trimming the deficit to two points late in the fourth quarter.
