The San Francisco Giants have announced that LHP Madison Bumgarner is scheduled to make a rehab appearance with the San Jose Giants on Thursday, May 31 at Municipal Stadium. Bumgarner is currently rehabbing a fracture to the fifth metacarpal on his left hand.
Madison Bumgarner, a Homegrown Giant currently in his tenth big-league season, began his excellent career in the Giants organization after being selected in the first round of the 2007 draft. Bumgarner made five starts with the San Jose Giants in 2009, where he went 3-1 with a 1.48 ERA. He would make his major league debut later that season on September 8, 2009.
