For the second game this season, Aerial Powers led Minnesota with 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals. This is the fifth game of the season Powers earned 10+ points and tied her season-high of nine rebounds and two blocks. With her second steal of the night before the half, Powers earned her 100th career steal.

In 31:53 minutes of action, Powers shot 12-of-14 from the line, the most by a Lynx player since Maya Moore in 2018. She became the 10th Lynx player to reach the feat of 12 made free throws. Powers and Kayla McBride combined for 19 made free throws (22 attempts) which counted for more free-throws than the entire Liberty team even attempted.

In her 200th game in a Lynx uniform, Sylvia Fowles tallied her fifth double-double of the season (93rd in a Lynx uniform and 185th career) finishing with 14 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Team Notes

The Lynx tallied the highest-scoring quarter so far this season with 34 points in the first, three shy of the franchise record (37, August 18,2017 vs. Indiana). The last time Minnesota scored 34 points in the first was July 24, 2010, vs. Phoenix.

There were eight different instances in which Minnesota recorded three defensive stops in a row. The Lynx finished with a season-high 45 rebounds and dominated on the defensive glass with 33 coming from the defensive end.

The Lynx held the Liberty to an opponent season-low 39.4 percent from the field (28-of-71), improving the franchise's record to 133-4 when the opponent is held to 40 percent or less from the field (since the stat started being recorded in 2011).

Minnesota closed the game on a 21-7 run over the final eight minutes of the game to regain the lead, marking their first victory at Target Center this season.

The Lynx closeout the first month of regular season play and a two-game home stand hosting the Los Angeles Sparks on Sunday, May 29. Tip is set for 6:00 p.m. CT and will broadcast on Bally Sports North. Minnesota Lynx will honor Seimone Augustus as she becomes the second player in franchise history to have her jersey retired in Target Center.
