Lundin Named USHL Goaltender of the Week

Sioux Falls, SD-The United States Hockey League announced today that Matt Lundin (Lun-Deen) has been named USHL/Stauber's Goaltender-of-the-Week after stopping 57 of 61 shots in two wins last weekend. Lundin made 22 saves in a 4-1 win over Sioux City Friday and 35 saves, including 8 of 9 in a shootout, in a 5-4 shootout win over Lincoln on Saturday. For the weekend, he went 2-0-0 with a 2.40 GAA and a .919 save percentage.

This marks the second time this season that Lundin has been named Goaltender-of-the-Week, he also took home the honors on December 4th. The Apple Valley, MN, native is in his first season with the Stampede, posting an overall record of 7-9-2 with a 2.77 GAA and a .904 save percentage.

Lundin and the Stampede return to action this Wednesday night when they host the Des Moines Buccaneers at 7:05 PM at the Sioux Falls Arena. Tickets for Wednesday's game can be purchased at any Ticketmaster location or at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office.

After Wednesday, the Stampede will hit the road for games in Waterloo and Omaha Friday and Saturday night. As always, you can hear all the games live on News Talk 1320 KELO-AM or online.
