MUSKEGON, Michigan (November 14th) - The Lumberjacks returned to their winning ways in a special morning game at the L.C. Walker Arena in which they shut down the visiting Indiana Ice by a score of 3-0.

After a scoreless first period, the Lumberjacks (10-4-1, 21 points) tallied the game's first goal at the 5:27 mark from Forward Adam Gilmour as he roofed a shot top shelf over Indiana Goaltender Dalton Izyk. The Lumberjacks took a 1-0 lead into the second period where they would continue to put the pressure early and often in the final period. At the 2:18 mark, Forward Mason Jobst tallied his second of the season from teammates Rasmus Bengtsson and Tyler Heinonen to make it 2-0 Lumberjacks. To cap off the victory, Forward Riley Alferd used persistence to muscle his way to his second goal of the season from Patrick Koudys and Jobst to seal a 3-0 Lumberjacks victory.

The Ice (5-11-1, 11 points) could not come up with an answer for Lumberjacks Goaltender Kevin Lindskoug (8-4-1) as he stopped all 28 shots Indiana threw at him for his second USHL shutout of the season. Ice Goaltender Dalton Izyk (5-8-1) stopped 36 of 39 shots in the losing effort.

The Lumberjacks outshot the Ice 39-28 in the game, and both teams were a combined 0-3 on the power play today (Muskegon was 0-2 and Indiana was 0-1). Jobst led the Lumberjacks with two points (one goal and one assist) in the victory.

The Lumberjacks will hit the road on Friday for a 7:05 pm puck drop against the Indiana Ice. The next home contest will be this Saturday for a 7:15 pm start against Eastern Conference foe, the Youngstown Phantoms, for Family Faiths Night and our Cans from Fans promotion.
