Lumberjacks Announce 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule

MUSKEGON, Michigan (July 8th) - With the United States Hockey League (USHL) officially releasing their 510-game schedule for the 2014-15 regular season, the Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced their 60-game regular season schedule that kicks off on Friday, September 26th in Ann Arbor against the U.S. National Development Program's Under-17 Team with the Home Opener slated the next evening on Saturday, September 27th against the Madison Capitols.

Out of their 60 games, 44 are played against Eastern Conference opposition including eight against the U.S. National Team Development Program (four against both the Under-18 and Under-17 Teams) and six versus familiar conference foes in Youngstown and Chicago along with the newest additions to the league in Madison and Bloomington.

Like the previous season, Muskegon squares off against each Western Conference team twice featuring a pair of home contests against Des Moines, Sioux Falls, and Fargo followed by playing twice on the road against Sioux City, Tri-City, Omaha, and Lincoln. The Lumberjacks will play a home-and-home series against only one team out of the West in Waterloo.

The bulk of the Lumberjacks' home schedule comes during December and January with seven in both months including two season-long six-game homestands running from December 5th-27th and January 19th-February 6th. In addition, new to this season are two home games occurring on New Year's Eve (Wednesday, December 31st) and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, January 19th) along with the return of our "Hockey for Health" School Day Game on Wednesday, October 29th.

To start and end the season, respectively, the Lumberjacks get a taste of life away from the L.C. Walker Arena with six of their first seven games and 10 of their final 13 games being on the road. Their longest string of consecutive road games comes during the stretch run with a six-game road stint from March 6th-21st.
