
USHL, Thunder Release Full Schedule

Bloomington Thunder News Release
Chicago, IL - The USHL has completed and released a full schedule for 2014-15. The Thunder's inaugural season in the USHL features the expansion team in the Eastern Conference with a total of 60 games (30 H, 30 A). The schedule features a plethora of rivals including the Youngstown Phantoms, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Green Bay Gamblers, USANTDP, and their closest proximity opponent, the Chicago Steel.
The season will commence in Bloomington at the US Cellular Coliseum on Saturday, September 27th, at 7 p.m. when the Thunder take the ice in their home opener against the Sioux Falls Stampede.

The Thunder's longest home stand spans five games from February 13th through February 21st. However they wrap up the regular season with their longest road trip of the year, at 6 games, from March 25th through April 10th.
The majority of games will be played against Eastern Conference opponents, but the Thunder are not limited to just play in the East. They have over a quarter of their contests against Western Conference opponents, including a two-game road stand in Fargo, North Dakota, a 20 plus-hour road trip.
The USHL regular season spans from September 26th through April 11th, before the league enters post-season play. The best-of-five playoff series dates will be determined following the regular season and will involve the top four teams from each conference in pursuit of the Clark Cup.
The league holds a record 17 clubs in its ranks this season split into two conferences.
