Jackson, Tenn. - In coordination with the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Jackson Generals announced today the addition of infielder Luis Lara to their active roster. In a separate roster move, Generals catcher Matt Jones was placed on the 7-day disabled list at Jackson. Jackson's active roster now sits at 25 players. Lara will be active today and is expected to be available for the Generals' game against Mississippi.

22 years old; born 5/6/95 in Bani, Dominican Republic

Height/Weight: 6'0", 190 lbs.

Signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Diamondbacks in June 2016

2017: 50 games between rookie-class Missoula and short-season Hillsboro - .272 batting average, 6 home runs, 31 RBI, .819 OPS

2018: No action to date
