Potomac Nationals News Release

WOODBRIDGE, Va- The Potomac Nationals and My Plumber have teamed up in 2009 with the My Plumber Home Run Inning where one lucky fan could win cash prizes if the P-Nats knock one out of the park in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Every game, one fan is chosen as the My Plumber Home Run Inning contestant. If the P-Nats hit a home run, the fan wins $100. If no home run is hit, then the $100 is put into the grand slam jackpot, which keeps accumulating with each passing game. If the home team hits a grand slam, someone will be walking away with a cool wad of cash.

It did not take long in 2009 before one lucky fan walked away with the grand slam jackpot as Kelly Lackey of Dale City, Va. was the pioneer recipient of the cash prize, courtesy of My Plumber and the Potomac Nationals.

In Sunday's tilt between the P-Nats and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, with the jackpot up to $300, the Nationals loaded the bases in the bottom of the fifth inning when third baseman Tim Pahuta pulverized a pitch over the left-center field wall, making Kelly one very happy P-Nat fan.
