Lucky Couple To Be Wed At BattleWing'sGame

BOSSIER CITY, LA (June 9, 2008)- Rhonda Kay Faour and Jack Crumbliss have attended several Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings games this year. At each one, the local couple entered the "Wedding Rings With The BattleWings" promotion and a chance to get married on the field at halftime of a BattleWings' game.
"Yeah right, who is this?" Rhonda said when notified their name had been drawn. "Somebody's pulling one on me!"
In winning the contest, Fauor and Crumbliss won a $7,500 wedding band set courtesy of Louisiana Coin and Jewelry, the promotion's sponsor.
The wedding will take place on the field at the CenturyTel Center at halftime of the BattleWings' June 14 game against the Texas Copperheads. The Fly Girls Dance Team and Winger-the BattleWings' mascot will serve in the wedding party.
"It took us a few minutes to convince her she'd actually won," said BattleWings' General Manager, Butch Bellah. "We had a lot of entries-some people even mailed them to our offices."
When she was finally convinced of the win, Faour was ecstatic and immediately shifted into the mode of a bride planning a wedding. "I don't have a clue what to wear," she said. "We're just so thankful to the BattleWings and especially to Louisiana Coin and Jewelry for doing this for us."
The couple plan on bringing about 50 friends and relatives to their "big night" and invite all BattleWings' fans to share in their excitement. And, just like a new husband, the Groom has already found something to complain about.
"I don't think it's very fair that Rhonda gets the Fly Girls for her bridesmaids and I'm stuck with Winger for my groomsman," Crumbliss laughed.
