
Lightning Welcomes "Jet" From "American Gladiators"

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league are pleased to announce the character "Jet" from the hit television show, "American Gladiators" is scheduled to appear at Stockton Arena on Saturday, June 14 when the Lightning take on the Central Valley Coyotes at 7:00 p.m.
"Jet" will partake in the cermonial pre-game coin toss at mid-field and will be available to sign autographs and pose for photos on the "Fan Deck" of Stockton Arena, free-of-charge.
The character "Jet," played by Monica Carlson, appears each Monday on "American Gladiators" (NBC, 8 p.m. ET) and is known as the supersonic stunner ready to create "major turbulence" with her grace, power and athleticism. Stacking up at 5-foot-7 and 130 pounds, "Jet" arrived on the scene after taking the show by storm in Season One as the female contestant winner on the program.
Carlson resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband Chad (Lightning interim head coach), two twin daughers and was a former dance team member of the Arena Football League's Portland Forest Dragons.
Following this week's bye, the Lightning return to play with a Week 12 home matchup against the Central Valley Coyotes, beginning at 7:00 p.m. from Stockton Arena on Saturday, June 14. The game be heard on radio at 1420-AM KSTN and viewed online, free-of-charge, through http://www.stocktonlightning.com/ (courtesy of NifTy Online TV).
The Lightning are asking fans of all ages to participate in donating canned and other non-perishable food items at select Stockton and Lodi Food-4-Less and Rancho San Miguel locations from June 9-13 as part of the Lightning's "Can the Coyotes" food drive event! Lightning players and select members of the "Shockwave" dance team will be present to help collect food items from fans in exchange for one free ticket voucher (redeemable for available Upper or Lower End-Zone seating) to the Saturday, June 14 game against Central Valley. All items donated will benefit the Greater Stockton Emergency Food Bank. Fans may also bring canned and other non-perishable food items to the Stockton Arena on June 14 to receive one free ticket voucher to that night's contest.
