Charleston Lowgators News Release

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (February 15) – The North Charleston Lowgators defeated the Mobile Revelers 85-76 on Saturday night at the North Charleston Coliseum in front of 1963 fans. Tierre Brown had 23 points to pace the home team.

The Lowgators outscored the Revelers 50-36 in the second half and shot 56% after intermission to win their fifth game in a row at home. After a seesaw battle in the first half, Mobile would get no closer than two in the fourth quarter.

"We played great team defense tonight. You have to do that to win against good teams like Mobile. We were able to pressure the ball and it sparked our transition game. Good team defense gets a team into the playoffs," head coach Doug Marty said.

Tierre Brown took over in the fourth quarter with his patented drives to the hoop, as he broke down the Revelers defense.

"I'm just trying to play to the best of my ability and get everyone involved. Things have been up and down this year so we're trying to play consistently as a team," Brown said.

Sedric Webber added 19 points for the Lowgators, while Isaac Fontaine led Mobile with 20.

The Lowgators (19-18) will host Huntsville on Monday night, while Mobile (19-15) travels to Fayetteville on Sunday.
