CHARLESTON, S.C. (March 7) Jason Miskiri scored 23 points off the bench to lead the Charleston Lowgators over the Columbus Riverdragons 99-90 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Sunday evening. The loss snapped a four-game losing streak for the first-place Lowgators.

Trailing 11-7 in the first quarter, the Lowgators (21-14) went on a 13-2 run and never looked back. Columbus (12-22) would get as close as one four different times but did not tie the game again. The Lowgators led by as many as 12 and had their best defensive effort since their last win on February 20th against the Riverdragons.

"We played with a lot of energy tonight and our defense was much improved. Different guys stepped up at different times and it was nice to come back home and pick up a victory," Lowgators coach Doug Marty said.

Ime Udoka had 19 points and 9 rebounds for Charleston, while Tierre Brown added 17. Karim Shabazz pulled down a season-high 17 rebounds and blocked four shots.
