Louisville, KY (August 31, 2015) -- Following a 1-0 loss on Saturday, Louisville City FC (13-5-6, 45 points) will get another chance to clinch a playoff berth when they play host to the Harrisburg City Islanders (10-9-4, 34 points) at 7:30 PM on Wednesday at Louisville Slugger Field. Another quick turnaround for the boys in purple, something that has not been kind to them this season, will be the final regular season home match for City this season.

Louisville needs all three points to become the third team to secure a spot in the 2015 USL Playoffs. They had their chances to get at least a point versus the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday night in front of a regular season record crowd of 8,414. but were kept off the scoresheet for the fifth time this year. All five of Lou City's losses have been of the shutout variety.

Harrisburg enters Wednesday's contest on short rest as well, but on the end of a much different result in their previous match. Playing their first USL match at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Saturday, the Islanders scored three goals in each half in a 6-0 blowout of FC Montreal. A hat-trick from Craig Foster, a brace from Jake Plumhoff, and an early goal from Enric Valles rounded out the scoring in Harrisburg's impressive win.

The Islanders will come to Slugger Field in the same position as the Riverhounds did, barely on the outside looking in at the USL playoffs. Currently in seventh place and just one point behind Pittsburgh, Lou City will be facing another team in need of a win.

Matthew Fondy is two goals shy of the league's leading scorer Danni Konig of the OKC Energy and the United Soccer League's all-time record of 20 set by Orlando City SC's Kevin Molino in 2014.

Ticket information for Saturday's 7:30 PM kickoff can be found at LouisvilleCityFC.com/tickets. Fans are once again encouraged to get their tickets early to ensure a good seat and avoid long-lines on matchday.
