Louisville City FC Reveals Inaugural Preseason Schedule

Louisville City FC, the new professional soccer team that will kick off its inaugural season campaign on March 28th at Louisville Slugger Field, released its preseason schedule today with the six game schedule highlighted with nationally ranked college opponents.

"After more than a week of training it will be nice to face an opponent other than ourselves," head coach James O'Connor said. "It will be a great test for us and give us a chance to see how our guys play in a live-game situation against programs that have a tradition of winning. They'll each provide us with a strong test that is sure to prepare us for the regular season."

The six-game schedule starts on Wednesday, February 25th with a home match against the University of Evansville with a 7:45pm kickoff at the Assumption High School Athletic Facilities. The following Saturday, February 28th, Louisville City will take on Division II powerhouse Young Harris College at Woehrle Athletic Complex in Jeffersonville, Indiana with an 11am kickoff scheduled.

Louisville City will then hit the road for road matches against three of the nation's top NCAA programs. On March 3rd Louisville City will travel to Bloomington, IN to face Indiana University, then will visit the University of Louisville on March 8th. The road schedule will conclude with a trip to Lexington, KY to face the University of Kentucky on March 14th. All games on this road trip will kickoff at 3pm.

On March 17th Louisville City will play host to Lindsey Wilson College at the Assumption High School Athletic Facilities. Kickoff is currently slated for 7:45pm.
