Lafayette, LA. September 8, 2009. Earn the title of Top Dog Chef and have your signature hot dog blasted to fans on October 23rd during the Hot Dog! The IceGators are back! game, the second night of the season opener weekend series. Winners will receive an IceGators T-shirt and 2 free tickets to the season opener series.
The IceGators are hosting a contest to find the best and most creative hot dog recipe. The winner's hot dog will be thrown to lucky fans in the stands during the second night of the IceGators' season opener series, Hot Dog! The IceGators are back!. Plus the winner and his/her hot dog will be featured on the Jumbo Tron. This exclusive hot dog will be part of an entire night featuring hot dogs and top dogs, including wiener dog races and a hot dog eating contest. The contest starts September 1st and ends October 1st 2009. Give your recipe a clever and original name, include a list of ingredients, detailed cooking instructions and a short sales pitch explaining what makes your hot dog a winner (50 words or less).
Recipes must meet the following criteria: - Ingredients must be readily available. - Recipes must be easy to prepare and include as few ingredients as possible. - Final cost to prepare product must be under $2. - And of course must taste good!
5 recipes will be selected from the online entries to participate in the finals. Finalists will be required to prepare hot dogs and submit them for a taste test judging on October 2nd at 12:00 pm at the IceGators office, 2815 Johnston Street. Finalists will be con- tacted by phone and/or email. Judges will taste each hot dog and score on taste, name and originality.
Contest is open to all ages. Competition may be recorded, photographed and/or video taped. The winning recipe will become the property of the Louisiana IceGators. Include name, email address, recipe title, ingredi- ents, directions and sales pitch.
