Newcomer Wilson Harris scored for the second time in as many games, and Louisville City FC continued an unbeaten run through its preseason competitions Saturday with a 1-1 draw against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC.

The USL Championship rivals met at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh with two weeks to go before LouCity kicks off its regular season.

Harris - the league's 2020 Young Player of the Year during his time with Sporting KC II - earned the start alongside fellow striker Cameron Lancaster and quickly made his mark on the game. Amadou Dia's 12th-minute cross landed to Harris, who had his initial try saved before converting on the rebound.

The Riverhounds equalized in the 31st minute on a penalty kick from Alex Dixon, rounding out the scoring early on a chilly afternoon.

"I thought it was a good first 45 minutes," said LouCity head coach Danny Cruz. "We gave up a stupid penalty off a throw in, so I'm unhappy about that, and I felt like we got outworked. Certainly, they created more chances in the second half, so I'm not happy at the end of the day.

"But there are things to improve on - things I know we need to improve on - and we'll look to make sure we're adjusting moving forward."

Previously, LouCity defeated NCAA Division I Grand Canyon University and the USL's El Paso Locomotive before drawing with Phoenix Rising during a preseason trip to Arizona. Back east this week, Cruz on Saturday rotated nearly his entire squad in the second half, spreading out minutes with one preseason test left.

The boys in purple travel next Saturday to play MLS Next Pro's St. Louis City before opening the 34-game USL Championship season when hosting Atlanta United 2 on March 12 at Lynn Family Stadium.

"We're close to opening day, so it's going to be a good opportunity to get 90 minutes," Cruz said of the St. Louis game. "We'll look to improve upon the things we struggled with today and certainly need to be better heading into Atlanta."
