EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC (12-13-6, 42 pts) fell to top ranked Eastern conference side Louisville City FC (20-6-6, 63 pts) at H-E-B Park. Tyler Deric saved four on target to keep the game manageable at 0-1 on the night.
Louisville struck first via header at the 33-minute mark and never looked back as Wilson Harris placed a soft touched ball past Tyler Deric, off the crossbar, 0-1. DelPiccollo was credited with an assist on the scoring play.
The Toros were limited to just two shots in the opening half as Louisville City controlled pace with 50% possession.
Akeem Ward placed a shot on target in added time as RGV FC attempted late, in the 93rd minute to attempt the equalizer after being limited to just two shots on target on the night but was not lucky.
