Orange County SC News Release
Wilmington, NC - Today's crucial USL PRO matchup between hosts Wilmington Hammerheads and the Los Angeles Blues will be broadcast nationally on Fox Soccer Channel. Following their disappointing three-game series against Antigua Barracuda FC, the Blues now look to fight for maximum points against Wilmington, as their goal remains to leapfrog USL Pro National Division leaders Rochester Rhinos in the standings before the end of the regular season.
With a game in hand on the Rhinos, Head Coach Charlie Naimo's men trail the traditional USL powerhouse by six points, meaning they will likely need a near-perfect record in their final four games of the campaign to improve their playoff positioning. Los Angeles will have to show a better performance against Wilmington than in their last visit to Legion field on July 2, when the Hammerheads registered a 4-2 victory behind a goal and two assists by forward Chris Banks.
Kickoff for today's nationally-broadcasts clash between the Wilmington Hammerheads and the Los Angeles Blues is at 4 p.m. PST.
