Lorenzo Brown Returns to the Drive

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH- The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA D-League Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, announced today that the team has reacquired Lorenzo Brown as a returning rights player.

Brown, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard from North Carolina State was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round (52nd overall) in the 2013 NBA Draft. He had 63 NBA career appearances playing for the 76ers, the Timberwolves and the Suns and made seven starts for the Timberwolves during the 2014-15 season. His NBA career averages are 3.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in 13.2 minutes per night. While in the Development League, Brown has played for the Springfield Armor, the Delaware 87ers, and the Grand Rapids Drive where he represented the Drive at the 2016 NBADL All-Star Game. His career averages in 64 D-League contests are 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. Brown has received four NBA GATORADE call-ups from the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns, and the Detroit Pistons. He returns to the D-League from playing overseas in China for the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association.

Brown will wear jersey number 7 while with the Drive (20-19) and joins the team for tonight's game against the Windy City Bulls (16-20) at the Sears Centre in Chicago, Illinois, tip-off is at 8:00 PM ET.
