
Lookouts Win Exhibition Game, 11-1

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Lookouts shook off their winter rust by defeating Chattanooga State, 11-1, in a Tuesday night exhibition game at AT&T Field.
The Lookouts got on the board early by plating a combined five runs in the first two innings, then adding five more in the fourth frame. Highlighting the Lookouts' offensive efforts was Cody Strait, who hit the game's lone home run in the first inning.
Chattanooga would tack-on another run in seventh, while Chattanooga State scored their first ever run against the Lookouts in eighth inning. The Bren Schuehler single broke a 25-inning Lookouts' shutout streak against the Tigers since both teams began their annual exhibition match in 2006.
Leadoff hitter Luis Bolivar collected two hits, including a double, to go with three runs to ignite the Lookouts' offense on the evening, while Michael Griffin drove-in four runs in a three-hit effort.
Jeremy Fitzgerald accrued two hits for the Tigers on the evening and accounted for the lone Chattanooga State run.
Ben Jukich collected the win for the Lookouts by pitching four shutout innings. The lefty notched four strikeouts, while yielding no walks and just four hits.
The Lookouts will hit the road on Thursday to begin their regular season against the Montgomery Biscuits. The Lookouts will return to AT&T Field for a five-game series against the Birmingham Barons on Tuesday, April 8th.
