Long Beach Defeats Juarez in Season Opener

The Long Beach Jam kicked off the 2003-2004 season by downing the Juarez Gallos 144-109 in their inaugural game. Matt Barnes (UCLA, Seattle Supersonics) of the Jam led all scorers with 28 points while teammates Geno Carlisle (California) and DerrMar Johnson (U. of Cincinnati, Atlanta Hawks) added 26 and 21 respectively.
