Lakeland Loggerheads News Release


COMING UP

The Loggerheads will be heading south to take on the Miami Manatees Friday, November 14 at 7:05pm at the Miami Arena. The team returns home to the Lakeland Center on Sunday, November 23 when the Loggerheads will host Alabama in the first of four consecutive games vs. the Slammers. It will be Cellular Unlimited night and all fans will receive a Loggerheads magnetic schedule courtesy of our friends at Cellular Unlimited, Polk County's largest cellular accessory store. All games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.

THIS SEASON

With losses at home vs. Macon and on the road vs. Orlando, the Loggerheads are still searching for the first win in franchise history. The team currently has an 0-2-0 record.

IN THE COMMUNITY

· Saturday, November 15th the Loggerheads Dance Team, the "Loggerettes" and 2 Loggerheads players will be signing autographs at Burdines in the Lakeland Square Mall from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

· Tuesday, November 19th, the Loggerheads players will take part in the Great American Teach In at Carlton Palmore Elementary, Wahneta Elementary and Eagle Lake Elementary schools. This day has been set aside for community members to become involved in the school system in an effort to raise awareness about public education.

MAKING WAVES

· Center, Paul Vincent leads the Loggerheads with 3 points (0G,3A) followed by Right Wing, Chris Migliore with 2 points (2G,0A).

· Rookie goaltender Tyler Murray has assumed control of the Loggerheads starting goalie position. Murray's play in the net has been solid and steady giving his team a much needed boost of confidence.

FLEX PACKS

The Loggerheads are offering their fans three unique Flex Plan options. The first is a Ten-Game package with randomly selected games throughout the season. The second is a seven game "I-4 War" pack that features all of the Loggerheads home games vs. the Orlando Seals.
