
Locomotives Kicker Earns United Football League Player of the Week Honors

LAS VEGAS - Las Vegas Locomotives place kicker Clint Stitser was named the United Football League's special teams Player of the Week for his play in the Locos' home opener vs. the Omaha Nighthawks Saturday, Oct. 8.
In just his second UFL game, Stitser was 3-for-3 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra points in the Locos' 30-10 win Saturday night over the Nighthawks. Stitser scored the Locos' first nine points of the game on field goals of 24, 34 and 45 yards. In two games with the Locos, Stitser is 4-for-4 on field goals and 5-for-5 on extra points for a team-high 17 points.
Stitser has spent time with the New York Jets, Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins in the NFL since finishing his college career at Fresno State in 2007.
Other week four United Football League honorees were two Virginia Destroyers. Running back Dominic Rhodes received Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after sharing the award in week one with Locos quarterback Chase Clement. Rhodes ran for 217 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries in Virginia's 28-6 home victory over the Sacramento Mountain Lions Friday, Oct. 7. Destroyers linebacker Tony Taylor was named Defensive Player of the Week while recording six tackles, two interceptions for 34 yards and a half-tackle for a loss in the game.
