Las Vegas Locomotives to Refund Purchased Game Tickets and Locos Bucks

LAS VEGAS - The United Football League's (UFL) Las Vegas Locomotives will offer full refunds to all fans who purchased tickets and Locos Bucks for the team's scheduled home games on Saturday, Oct. 22 and Thursday, Oct. 27.
The two remaining home games were cancelled after the league decided to shorten the 2011 regular season and move its championship game to Friday, Oct. 21. Fans can receive more information on ticket and Locos Bucks refunds by contacting the team at 702.877.LOCO(5626).
"We received such great support from the Las Vegas fans and community during this season," said Locos president, general manager and head coach Jim Fassel. "It saddens me that we will not have the opportunity to play in front of our hometown fans again this season, and I hope they understand this decision was made in the best interest of the future of the league.
"We look forward to bringing the Locos back to Las Vegas for another season of quality football and family friendly entertainment in 2012."
The Locos (3-1) will play in the UFL Championship Game against the Virginia Destroyers (3-1) on Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. PDT/8 p.m. EDT inside the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. This will be the third consecutive year the Locos will play in the Championship Game, having won their other two appearances over the Florida Tuskers in 2009 and 2010. Coach Jim Fassel and his players are the only team in league history to carry the title of UFL Champions.
"This strategy of moving straight to the Championship Game is the best means by which to take the UFL forward. We faced many challenges during the offseason, but were still able to kick off our third season," said UFL founder and owner Bill Hambrecht, who also owns the Locos.
All Locos fans interested in following the team during their last action of the season can listen to the UFL Championship on Las Vegas radio via FOX Sports Radio 920 AM. Live updates will also be broadcast through the team's Facebook (Las Vegas Locos) and Twitter (@LasVegasLocos) accounts.
