Local fans can participate in UIF All-Star voting

United Indoor Football League fans can take part in the voting process for the UIF All-Star Classic to be held Aug. 18 at 7:05 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington,

Along with league coaches and media representatives, fans will be choosing the top players to for the inaugural game, which will match the top players from the Eastern Conference against their counterparts in the Western Conference.

Dakota Crow, the UIF commissioner and executive director, believes it's important the fans are involved in the all-star voting.

"It's their chance to have their voice heard for their favorite players and coaches throughout the league," Crow said.

Fans may vote by clicking the "All-Star Classic Voting" button on the league's website www.unitedindoorfootball.com. They will be directed to the UIF Newsletter signup page.

Everyone that receives the newsletter will be eligible to vote. There's no charge to receive the weekly newsletter and All-Star Classic ballots will be e-mailed the first week of July.

Crow said fan loyalty in the UIF is unmatched.

"We consider ourselves the premier indoor football league with the premier indoor football fans," he added.

The All-Star Classic will include several festivities for fans and players, beginning Aug. 16 in Bloomington. Details on other events and ticket information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.
