BOSTON LOBSTERS IN THE COMMUNITY
Tennis fans are not the only ones who will reap the benefits from the excitement of the Boston Lobsters 2006 season. Several charitable organizations have partnered with the Lobsters this year, including:
Tenacity
The Women's Sports Foundation
The Joey Fund
Tennis Against Breast Cancer
Massachusetts General Hospital
Boston Lobsters CEO and Owner, Bahar Uttam, stated, The opportunity to team with Harvard, Massachusetts General Hospital and these great organizations to help raise awareness and funds for the outstanding contributions that they each make to our communities is truly what teamwork is all about.
Massachusetts General Hospital , the third oldest hospital in the country and the largest hospital in New England , is on board for their second season as the official hospital of the Lobsters. In addition to providing all physical therapists, massage therapists, and physicians for the team, MGH also plans to bring staff from each of seven major clinic areas, showcasing the various clinical services available through the hospital. For example, on July 14 th , their Cancer Care Unit will be on-site in conjunction with Tennis Against Breast Cancer. We hope through this collaboration, we can inform those attending and, through them, their families and friends, that when they are in need of medical care, they can rest assured that they will receive the very best at the MGH, said Tim Brennan, MGH Associate Marketing Manager. We congratulate the [Boston Lobsters] and its management team for bringing this phenomenal group of tennis players together and for their work in promoting the game of tennis and its associated fitness benefits to the children of the Commonwealth.
