LNB All-Star Skills Final Results, Host Bucks Have Two Winners

LAREDO, Texas â The Laredo National Bank All-Star Skills Competition took place tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center and the host Laredo Bucks had two individual winners. Bucks forward Brent Cullaton won the fastest skater award for the second straight season and goalie Jeremy Symington captured the overall goalie contest. The North team emerged with a 9-8 team win. The 2005 Dodge CHL All-Star Game is Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at the LEC. CRAGAR FASTEST SKATER---Laredo Bucks forward Brent Cullaton captured his second straight fastest skater award. After winning in Albuquerque in 2004 with a time of 14.28, Cullaton turned in a lap of 14.61 to win again. The South won two of three races to earn a team point.
WHATABURGER HARDEST SHOT---Colorado forward Greg Pankewicz ripped shot 91 mph to capture the award. The North also had the highest average score and captured the team point.
SHER-WOOD ACCURACY SHOOT-OUT---Lubbock Cotton Kings forward Anders Strome hit four targets on six shots to capture the contest. Despite the efforts by Strome for the South, the North turned in a better shooting percentage and earned the team point.
CINTAS RAPID FIRE---In the Cintas Rapid Fire New Mexico goalie Miguel Beaudry stopped 8 of 10 shots to help the North capture a team point.
LACKS PASS AND SCORE---The goalies dominated as Colorado's Tyler Weiman, San Angelo's Scott Reid, Bossier's Ken Carroll, and Laredo's Jeremy Symington each stopped all three shooters. Both the North and the South captured a team point.
LAREDO NATIONAL BANK BREAKAWAY RELAY---Each team scored four goals in the relay to count towards their team total and the North emerged with a 9-8 team victory. Symington stopped five of five, while Carroll stopped four of five and the goalie contest was tied with each stopping 14 of 18 shots. The individual goalie contest was decided in sudden death when Symington made a stop on two-time CHL MVP Don Parsons on a breakaway to win it.
