SUGAR LAND, Texas - Bobby Livingston (2-2) pitched seven solid innings retiring 21 batters of the 25 he faced giving up just one run off three hits to win game three against the Lancaster Barnstormers (15-14) in front of the Sugar Land Skeeters (13-15) 13th sellout crowd Saturday night at Constellation Field.

What some could consider a tough night for the home team after losing starting third baseman to the Washington Nationals via a purchased contract, the Skeeters persevered.

The crowd of 7586 saw Livingston retired the side in order through the first four innings and only faced one above the required minimum in the fifth and six in the sixth before ending the seventh three-up three-down. Houston native Gary Majewski worked two innings to get the save (2).

The scoring started in the bottom of the first for the Skeeters after an Iggy Suarez walk. A crucial error from left fielder Blake Gailen pushed Suarez to third on a Jason Botts single into left. Josh Pressley sacrificed the shortstop home to give the Skeeters a 1-0 lead.

The Skeeters led big inning came again in the sixth off starting pitcher Mark Brackman (1-2). With the score 3-1, Austinite and starting second baseman Dominic Ramos recorded his first single of the year with a base-hit up the middle with one out. He then stole second to get in scoring position, and Drew Locke accompanied him on first after he drew a walk. Brackman was relieved by Jason Urquidez in the sixth but fared no better. He first gave up a single to Suarez that pushed Ramos to third, and with the bases loaded, a wild pitch allowed Ramos to score the fourth run, 4-1. A walk to Botts loaded the bases for a second time in the inning, and Ofilio Castro, already hot off a triple in the fourth, singled in the fifth run to put Sugar Land well ahead, 5-1.

Sugar Land native Sean Morgan had a rough outing giving up one run on two hits and a walk when Barnstormers center fielder Adam Godwin drove in the second run, 5-2, but Majewski finished the inning and the game retiring all six batters he faced in order.
