(Vancouver)- The BC Lions look to wrap up their 2021 season on a winning note as the squad hosts the Edmonton Elks this Friday at 7:30 pm, presented by London Drugs.

Despite a 33-23 loss to Calgary last week that officially put an end to the club's playoff aspirations, the entire locker room is approaching this regular season finale with a sense of pride and urgency.

"We're going to do whatever we can to give us the best chance to win the game. It's not going to be an experiment or a pre-season type thing," said Lions head coach Rick Campbell.

"We owe it to ourselves. A lot of hard work has been put in. We need to play the best roster we can and find a way to win a game."

Join us for Fan Appreciation Night as plenty of our great Lions fans will receive special giveaways. One lucky fan will win 2022 season tickets while section giveaways include travel vouchers from Uniglobe. Courtesy London Drugs, 10,000 cowbells and hand clappers will be handed out at the gates.

The organization is also honoured and proud to induct our late owner and champion David Braley onto the club's Wall of Fame. No doubt a well-deserved honour for Mr. Braley to have his name included with other Lion legends from over the years.

"It will be a special night, there's no doubt about that," said Lions director of community partnerships Jamie Taras.

"Mr. B was always quick to give credit to those around him. But we know he is smiling from up above as he loved everything about the football club, including the list of great alumni he will be enshrined with on our Wall of Fame.

Given everything we all had to endure to get back on the field in 2021, honouring Mr. Braley will be a fitting way to wrap up this season's home schedule."

Before the game, fans can contribute to another great cause as the club has partnered with London Drugs and the Vancouver Fire Fighters Charity to donate toys to children in need before the holidays.

The toy drive takes place from 5:00 pm- 7:30 pm at Terry Fox Plaza. Every fan that donates will be entered to win either a pair of tickets to a 2022 Lions game of their choice, a $100 London Drugs gift card or a Vancouver Fire Fighters Calendar.
