Lions Update

Columbus Lions News Release

This Is The "Off Season"?

There is no real Off Season for the Columbus Lions. Since our championship in 2015 the focus has been putting the best team possible on the field to bring back another trophy to our fans and the city of Columbus. Wait till you see the size and speed of the team this year. Our mix of Vets, free agents and rookies should be just what the Coach ordered for another successful season.

We have also been working to give back even more than in past years. So we have improved our Youth Football League, at the request of coaches, to better prepare the boys, we have moved it outside and rebranded it as Elite Youth Spring Football. I can't wait to see these young men play!

By moving the youth outside, that freed up turf time. Not wanting to waste a minute the Lions have added a Co-Ed Flag football league to our schedule. Play starts on April 6th so if you are interested get your team together and join up now. Spaces are limited!

We have teamed up with the Boy Scouts, churches, JROTC and other to share the Indoor Football experience with a greater number of people, while earning funds for their worthy causes. If you need a fundraiser, we'd like to help you too. Just call our office at 706-322-3336.

ELITE YOUTH SPRING FOOTBALL

The EYSF at Ladonia Sports Complex will feature four age groups (5-6; 7-8; 9-10; and 11-12) and a maximum of 8 teams per group. Players will play on teams named after college football teams and will receive a fully sublimated game jersey, pants, and socks provided by Dmaxx Sports. League registration also includes a free upper level season ticket to all the Lions 2016 regular season games and free skills clinic from Lions players and Coaches. Information on registration and putting a team into the league can be found at the EYSF official website www.eliteysf.com or by contacting the EYSF league president, Joey Drury at joeydrury98@gmail.com or Jason Gibson, Head Coach jason@columbuslions.net 706.393.8141.
