
Lions Team Up with Armed Services Blood Program

Columbus Lions News Release
The Columbus Lions announce a special blood drive with the Armed Services Blood Program (ASBP) on Fort Benning. All of the blood donated to ASBP on March 6, 2009 will be distributed directly to all our armed forces and family members around the world. After collection on March 6, ASBP distributes blood donations within 7 days around the world to places such as Iraq and Afghanistan for our men and women in uniform. The blood donation goal for this event is 60 BLOOD UNITS!! Please help us achieve this goal as your pint "gives soldiers a fighting chance"!! Please take time to view ASBP's website at www.militaryblood.dod.mil.

Objective:Â Donate blood and meet with the Columbus Lions players and Dance Team

From Fort Benning Blvd Entrance
Check in at Welcome Center (on Left)
Provide: car insurance and registration information as well as valid Driver's License
Day Pass presented and placed in car for access on to military installation (all passengers are now required to show 1 form of identification)
Left on Marne Road (follow Marne Road past Martin Army Comm. Hospital, over I-185, past PX and Commissary)
Enter Kelly Hill
End at 9079 Marne Road, Kelly Hill Rec Center, 706.544.3079
From I-185 Entrance
Check in at Welcome Center (on Left)
