COLUMBUS, GA (March 31, 2015) - For their play in the Lions 52-50 come from behind victory over Richmond, Columbus WR John Harris and K Lindsey Wolfe were honored by the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) as Players of the Week for Week 2.

Offensive Player of the Week: WR John Harris (Columbus)

Once a former rival, WR John Harris (6'1 190, NW Mississippi CC) highlighted a group three former Albany Panthers who made the trek north to Columbus making their debut with the Lions in Sunday's thrilling 52-50 come from behind victory over Richmond. Harris, who led the PIFL in receptions a season ago with the Georgia Fire, came out blazing in his debut hauling in four receptions for 125 yards along with three trips to the end-zone. None more important than his final one which served as the deciding factor helping the Lions overcome a 13-point 4th quarter deficit.

Special Teams Player of the Week: K Lindsey Wolfe (Columbus)

Also making his Lions debut on Sunday, kicker Lindsey Wolfe's (6'0 180, Fort Valley St.) tenure started out shaky missing on both his first PAT attempt and field goal try before finally settling in nailing his next five extra point tries as well as connecting on a 32-yard field goal as time expired at the end of the first half. Ever more crucial, his two Uno's in Sunday's final three minutes sparked a 4th quarter comeback in which the defense held Richmond scoreless on the two drives following the Uno's. Wolfe's ten points were also league-high's among all kickers.

This Saturday the Lions kickoff the first of back-to-back road games beginning with a trip to Trenton to face off against the previously idle Freedom (1-0). The following week they will once again face the Raiders with the rematch taking place in the Richmond Coliseum, a venue in which the Lions are a career 0-3.

Columbus will return home on April 18th when they host they PIFL defending champion Venom in the first rematch since that nail biting 2014 Conference Championship playoff game where Nashville narrowly escaped with the 44-39 win en route the PIFL Championship.
