(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club today announced that international quarterback Michael Birdsong has signed with the team.
Most recently attended mini-camp with the New Orleans Saints in 2017, the six-foot-four, 240-pound product out of Virginia comes north after a well-traveled collegiate career.
Beginning his university days at James Madison in 2013 and eventually seeing action in 37 games, Birdsong also made stops at Marshall University and Tennessee Tech recording a career total of 527 completions on 881 attempts for 6,148 yards with 45 TD's.
Birdsong will get his first taste of three-down football in late-April as the Lions host a three-day mini-camp at their practice facility in Surrey.
