Columbus Lions News Release

COLUMBUS, GA (March 4, 2010) - On Monday March 8th, the Columbus Lions and the Greenville Force of the Southern Indoor Football League will meet for an exhibition game at the Columbus Civic Center at 7:30 pm.

Monday's exhibition game will be the first of four matchups between the Columbus Lions and Greenville Force for the 2010 season. Both were members of the American Indoor Football Association in 2009 and previously meet two times last season with Columbus winning both matchups. In those two games, the southern division rivals managed to score a combined 188 points."With the start of the season a couple of weeks away, this is a great opportunity for our coaching staff to mostly evaluate a lot of the new guys on our club," says Columbus Lions Head Coach Jason Gibson. "They actually start the season a week ahead of us so this will be a good chance at seeing where both clubs currently stand."

"This will probably be the best test for because I know the talent that Jason recruits to Columbus and this will give us a good gauge to prepare not just for our season opener but for the entire season," says Greenville Force Head Coach Tony Wells. "Jason beat us twice last season and I'm really interested in seeing what we have on defense and if we need to make some changes."Door's open at 6:30 p.m. and the game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. All tickets for Monday's exhibition game will be $5.
