Columbus Lions News Release
COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus Lions have announced officially that Brandon Reed has decided to step down as the defensive coordinator for the Columbus Lions. Coach Reed has been a staple in the Lions dominant defense over the last 10 years. His passion and knowledge of the game can be seen every time he takes the field. He has help led the Lions to the Championship game 5 of the last 6 season. "I can't say enough about Coach Reed, we have been through and seen a lot together over the years. I can't imagine coaching without him. Columbus has always been known as a defensive team and Coach Reed was a big part of that success. On behalf of the Lions organization, we wish him the best in the future, and he will always be a Lion." Commented Jason Gibson Head Coach.
I would like to thank Coach Jason Gibson and the Columbus Lions organization for a decade of opportunity to do what I love to do as a coach. I still love football and the Columbus Lions, I'm definitely a lifelong fan of all the people involved in the operations and I wish them nothing but the best this year and beyond. I would like to especially say I love and enjoyed all the great players I got to be around over the years and they allowed me to coach them and they gave me all the support in the world to do this job at successful level. I want to thank all the loving, generous fans who I met and others that cheered for this team year in and year out faithfully. Thanks for the great ride Lion Nation, Black Shirts, and Ownership.
