Columbus Lions News Release

A.J. Harmon, a 2017 1st team All-NAL selection, has agreed to terms with Columbus Lions organization for the 2019 NAL season. Harmon, a Georgia native, is widely considered as one of the best offensive linemen in all of Arena Football. This will be Harmon's 5th year of Arena football, including his 2nd in the National Arena League.

Harmon has previously played for a Lions rival, the Jacksonville Sharks, in 2017 in which he garnered 1st-team All-NAL honors. All of this was en route to becoming a National Arena League champion, as the Sharks defeated the Lions that year in the NAL championship game.

The 6'5 320 pound lineman is no stranger to elite-level competition as he spent part of 2014 with both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL. Prior to his time in the NFL, Harmon was a 4-star prospect and a University of Georgia commit. Harmon spent two years playing for the Bulldogs, before transferring to Alabama State and eventually to Cumberland University where he finished his collegiate career.

Stay tuned to see who the Lions will sign next in their quest for the 2019 NAL Championship!
